Sous Chef
We are seeking an enthusiastic individual who is incredibly organised, has great attention to detail and enjoys the rush of a busy café.
The role is casual with a view to permanency, based in Narre Warren, Victoria to start ASAP.
Responsibilities
- All aspects of preparation and cooking
- Execution of recipes and beautiful plating
- Contribute ideas for improvement, specials and seasonal menu
- Correct storage, replenishing and rotating stock
- Maintain exceptional food hygiene practices
- Cleaning of equipment and kitchen area
- Cost control and meet targets
Skills, Experience and Attributes
- At least 2 years experience in a similar role
- Ability to be involved in a smooth organised service
- Sound understanding of basic kitchen skills
- An interest in wholefood, healthy lifestyle and food provenance
- An even temperament and keen team player
- Ability to self-motivate, implement and take ownership of the role
- A professional manner and excellent communication skills

The Role:
- Help grow our Inner Health Department with high energy and positive attitude
- Provide exceptional customer service and personalized advice
- Become a product expert and share your knowledge with customers
- Manage orders, liaise with brand representatives, and merchandise stock
- Contribute to administrative and operational tasks
- Organize engaging events and workshops
Your Skills & Experience:
- Formal qualification (student or qualified) in Naturopathy, Nutrition, or Herbal Medicine
- Association membership
- Clinical experience (desired, but not essential)
- Confidence in interacting with customers and offering guidance
- A friendly, outgoing personality
Other Requirements:
- Weekend availability
- Physical fitness and agility
- You must live in Victoria and have eligibility to work in Australia
